Los Gatos, CA -- July 20th, 2021 Old passions are rediscovered as people rummage through cellars and attics in search of happiness and nostalgia. When a significant portion of the population finds themselves under the thumb of some sort of old collection with baseball trading cards, a fire is lit and people look for more. Talk to anyone in the sport card industry and they will tell you that the hobby of collecting trading cards will never go away, but it will continue to evolve. The power of trading cards is the fact that people can find them as a piece of happiness and joy in these crazy times when you are just freaking out and happy to have a good distraction. Things began to shift when all four major sports leagues signed exclusive trade-card deals with a card manufacturer. Last August, rookie Zion Williamson of the New Orleans Pelicans signed a multi-year trade card deal with Panini America to cover the NBA on his college license cards at Duke and on his official autograph car
